Me? A free afternoon? Two words I haven’t heard in AGES!! If I had one though, I would probably spend it with a good book. I’d go up to Mohonk Mountain House and sit in my favorite gazebo that’s far away from anyone who could disturb my peace. I’d sit there and I’d read to my heart’s content, every so often looking up to watch the sunlight sparkle and glint off the lake’s shimmering surface. That is my absolute favorite thing to do when there’s no work that’s pressing or people that need attending: Just peace and quiet at a pretty location… What better way to spend a free afternoon?
I like the rehtorical questions in the beginning, by the way. I like that you discuss the serenity of nature at Mohonk and how you would just read, unlike most people you kept reading as a calming thing while most people would watch TV. I also enjoy the picture of the Mountain House, it's rea;;y pretty.
